Terms & Conditions

This page tells you ('the Customer' and/or 'you' ) the legal terms and conditions ('Terms') on which Alta ('we', 'us' and/or 'Alta') sells any goods on www.alta-made.com ('Website'). Please read these Terms carefully and make sure that you understand them before ordering any items from the Website. By placing an order you confirm your acceptance of these Terms.

Alta, located in Rotterdam is a brand of Wild Iris and registered at the Chamber of Commerce under number 75305011

 

Alta is governed by the Dutch law. Each of the below clauses of these Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining clauses will remain in full force and effect. We reserve the right to amend these Terms from time to time. Every time you wish to place an order on the Website, please check these Terms to ensure you accept the agreement which will apply at that time.

Intellectual Property

Alta owns or has obtained all content displayed on the Website except where specified. This includes the Website, database, content, images, logo, titles, names, illustrations, designs, marketing, graphics, text and images.

The Customer is permitted to download, view, copy and print content on the Website for personal, informational and non-commercial purposes only. Such content must not be modified or altered in any way. If you wish to copy, reproduce, alter, distribute, publish or use content on the Website in any manner other than as permitted under these Terms, you must have written consent from us. We may withhold such consent at our absolute discretion.

Purchases, Prices & Payment

By placing an order for any goods on the Website the Customer is offering to make the purchase on and subject to these Terms. Each order the Customer places will be a separate and binding agreement between you and Alta with respect to the supply of the goods in accordance with these Terms.

 

You must provide Alta with complete and accurate details when making a purchase. Alta is not liable if we are given an incorrect delivery address at the time of purchase. Any additional expenses in correcting the order are the responsibility of the Customer. Once the parcel leaves the warehouse, Alta is not liable for any errors made by a third-party carrier company.

 

All prices quoted are in Euros (EUR) and include sales tax. Alta is not responsible for applicable currency conversion rates and charges issued by your bank.

We reserve the right to alter the prices of goods on the Website without notice to the Customer.

You may opt to have your payment processed through PayPal. Upon checkout, you will be redirected to the PayPal website where a payment method can be selected. It is not necessary for you to have a PayPal account to shop with Alta.

Once Alta receives payment, you will be emailed an invoice confirming the order. Some orders may be subject to fraud checks by the Alta Customer Care team. The Customer may be asked to provide additional identification or information to verify the transaction.

 

Order Processing

Orders are processed as quickly as possible on business days (Monday through Friday). Dispatch times may vary according to availability and any representations made as to delivery times are intended as an estimate only and are subject delays.

Refunds & Exchanges

There are no returns. All sales are final.

Fraud

Alta takes every measure against credit card fraud. If an order is flagged as potentially fraudulent, Alta will contact the Customer to confirm certain details. If the Customer refuses to respond with the required information, Alta reserves the right to cancel the order. Alta is not liable to compensate for any loss, expense or inconvenience you may face as a result of a cancelled order.

Cancellation

 

Alta reserves the right to reject an order for any reason at any time. If your order is rejected, you will be contacted and refunded.

Alta is not liable for any loss, expense or inconvenience resulting from a cancelled order.

All orders are subject to item availability.

Alta uses cookies to distinguish you from other users on the Website. This helps us provide a good experience when you browse the Website and to improve our services.

Warranty

The customer is obliged to inspect the products promptly and carefully upon delivery. Any claims on defects or malfunctions must be reported immediately to Alta, but in any event within fourteen (14) days after delivery.

If Alta finds the claim well founded, Alta will offer the customer repair, a replacement product or refund of the invoice value of the product.

Force majeure 

Parties shall not be held liable for any of their obligations if they are hindered to do so due to a circumstance through no fault of their own and which cannot be attributed to them by virtue of law, a legal action or generally accepted practice.

Throughout the duration of the circumstances of force majeure, Alta shall be entitled to suspend the fulfilment of its obligations. If this period lasts for more than thirty (30) days, either of the parties shall be entitled to cancel the agreement without any obligation to pay the opposite party damages.

Liability

Alta is only liable for any damage the customer suffers if and insofar as this damage is caused by intent or gross negligence.

If Alta is liable for any damage, it is only liable for direct damages that result form or is related to the execution of an agreement.

Alta is never liable for indirect damages, such as consequential loss, lost profit, lost savings or damage to third parties. 

If Alta is liable, its liability is limited to the (part of the) invoice to which the liability relates. 

All images, photos, colors, drawings, descriptions on the website are only indicative and are only approximate and cannot lead to any compensation and/or (partial) dissolution of the agreement and/or suspension of an obligation. 

Applicable law and disputes

Only Dutch law shall apply to each and every agreement between Alta and the customer. The CISG is not applicable under the Agreement.
customer and Alta shall only refer the matter to the court if they have done their utmost to solve the dispute through mutual consultations.
